Principal’s Desk News & Information Upcoming Dates School Care News
Dear SMSA Families,
I hope this newsletter finds you well and filled with joy. As we approach a significant time in our faith journey, I want to take a moment to express my gratitude for each of you. Your unwavering support and partnership make our school community thrive, and it is truly a blessing to work alongside you.
Holy Week begins this coming Sunday with the celebration of Palm Sunday. This day marks the start of our journey with Jesus as we remember His entrance into Jerusalem surrounded by many adorers. As the week progresses, we invite you to participate in the following events:
Holy Thursday: Commemorating the Last Supper and the first Mass.
Good Friday Service: Reflecting on the passion of Our Lord.
Easter Vigil Mass on Saturday: Guiding us towards the glorious celebration of Easter Sunday.
Throughout Our Lord’s journey, we find reflections of our own lives. Each event encourages us to engage in prayer, sacrifice, servitude, and ultimately find joy after difficult moments. Let us come together in these reflections, drawing closer in our relationship with Jesus.
We are pleased to announce that Forward Testing for the majority of our students has been completed successfully. A few make-up tests will take place next week. Thank you for your partnership in ensuring that students arrived promptly and prepared on testing days. This data collection is vital for SMSA as we strive for academic excellence and continuously work towards our mission.
Our Lost and Found is overflowing with many items. It’s time for some spring cleaning! SMSA will be emptying the Lost and Found area shortly after Easter. Please encourage your children to check for any missing items, as all unclaimed items will be reallocated for various purposes.
Thank you for your continued partnership with SMSA. It was wonderful to see many of you at Ledgerfest, as our community came together to support our school. Together, we are creating a path for tomorrow’s children to achieve amazing dreams.
As we move forward, I look forward to our continued collaboration and the beautiful moments we will share. May you have a blessed Holy Week.
Warm regards,
Steven Kelnhofer
Elementary Principal, SMSA
