Dear SMSA Families,
We hope this message finds you well and thriving! As we move through February, we want to take a moment to express our heartfelt gratitude for your continued support and engagement in our school community. Together, we are making a difference in the lives of our students. We hope you share Christ’s love during this Valentine’s week.
Our second trimester will conclude on February 28th. Skyward report cards will be accessible on March 6th at 3:00 PM. Please use Skyward to digitally sign report cards and gain access to the learning accomplished during the second trimester.
Thank you for our partnership during Parent/Teacher conferences this past week. We welcome partnerships and scheduled conferences whenever the need arises.
SMSA is participating in Kids Heart Challenge: Our Kids Heart Challenge is coming to a close on February 14, 2025. A heartfelt thank you to the students who have already registered and completed Finn’s Mission! If you haven’t had the chance yet, you still have time!
To become a LIFESAVER: Download the Free AHA Schools APP for Apple or Android and click “Register Now.” Then scroll down to join your school’s team. Or visit this link and choose “Sign Up” to get started. Spread the Word: TEXT or Email friends and family asking for their support.
Complete Finn’s Mission: Learn the lifesaving skill of Hands Only CPR and how to spot a stroke F.A.S.T. I’m excited to see how many students complete Finn’s Mission and gain essential emergency knowledge.
Lastly, a friendly reminder of our goal to have at least 50% of our students sign up, with three students completing Finn’s Mission. By achieving this, we’ll earn two Amazon gift cards from the American Heart Association to support our classroom needs. Your participation matters – register today! And don’t forget, all donations are due on February 14, 2025.
As we look forward to the upcoming weeks, we are excited to continue our collaboration with you. Thank you for being such an integral part of our school community. Together, we can achieve great things!
God Bless,
Steven Kelnhofer

Sister Act Jr
Based on the hit 1992 film and Tony-nominated Broadway musical, Sister Act JR. is a feel-good musical comedy that will have audiences jumping to their feet! Featuring original music by Alan Menken (Newsies, Beauty and the Beast, Little Shop of Horrors). When disco diva, Deloris Van Cartier, witnesses a murder, she is put in protective custody in the one place the cops are sure she won’t be found: a convent! Disguised as a nun, she finds herself at odds with both the rigid lifestyle and uptight Mother Superior. Using her unique disco moves and singing talent to inspire the choir, Deloris breathes new life into the church and community but, in doing so, blows her cover. Soon, the gang is giving chase, only to find them up against Deloris and the power of her newly found sisterhood.
Filled with powerful gospel music, outrageous dancing, and a truly moving story, Sister Act JR. will leave audiences breathless. A sparkling tribute to the universal power of friendship, Sister Act JR. is a reason to REJOICE!
The musical is presented by St. Mary’s Springs Academy Middle School, and directed by Sonya Packer and Michelle O’Brien. All ages are welcome. The shows are Friday, February 28th at 7 pm; Saturday, March 1st at 7 pm; and Sunday, March 2nd at 1 pm. The shows will be performed at Prairie Theatre at 400 University Dr., Fond Du Lac.
Tickets are $8 for adults and $4 for students and seniors. Purchase your tickets at Hometowntickets.com.
