Help to support the Holy Family Warming Shelter for a chance to win $10,000. The anticipated operating cost for the shelter this season is to be about $200,000. You can help us defer this cost by participating in our Holy Family Warming Shelter Raffle! Tickets are $20 each or six for $100. The top prize is $10,000, with additional prizes of $3,500, $2,500 and $1,000. Winners will be drawn at 5:30 pm on October 24 at the Holy Family Warming Shelter. Tickets are available to purchase at our Parish Office front desk and can be purchased online at hffdl.org/warming-shelter.
Holy Family welcomes anyone who may be interested in becoming Catholic to learn more about the faith! OCIA (Order of Catholic Initiation, formerly RCIA) is for those adults who are not baptized, those from other faith traditions, and those baptized Catholic, but not raised Catholic. Holy Family is happy to announce the establishment of a server guild for boys and an altar guild for girls in our parish. Guilds like this have always been a part of Catholic parish life, and they exist to help elevate our worship of God in the liturgy, foster vocations, and foster friendship based on the love of God among our youth. Beginning on Saturday, September 7, server and altar guilds will meet the first Saturday of each month at 5:15 pm at Sacred Heart Church for practice, formation, and fun. Please join us!
High school seniors! Are you looking to grow in knowledge of your faith and deepen your relationship with God? If so, then the “Emmaus Program” is for you. Beginning September 8, join Fr. Kevin Tanel in diving deeper into your faith through discussions on topics such as the Sacraments, the Mass, the Saints, and prayer. Classes will be held monthly and will begin immediately after the 10:00 a.m. Mass at Our Risen Savior, N6499 Co. Rd. Y, Eldorado, WI 54932, and will include a discussion on a particular topic, followed by prayer and fun. You are welcome to attend as many classes as you would like/are able to. Are you struggling with grief? Holy Family will host “Grief Share,” a 13-week support group and seminar designed to help people rebuild their lives after loss. The group will meet Mondays, beginning September 9 from 4:00 to 5:30 pm in the Holy Family Board Room. Men of Holy Family and our Catholic community are invited to join the St. Ambrose Men’s Group for That Man is You! each Wednesday from 5:30-7:00 am in the Holy Family North Hall beginning September 11. The morning will include a full breakfast, video from the program and a small group discussion. This year’s theme, Apostles of the New Springtime, will cover medical science with the teachings of the Church and the wisdom of the saints to develop the vision of man fully alive. Women of Holy Family and our Catholic community are invited to attend the parish’s Women’s Ministry Kick-off on Thursday, September 12, from 5:40 to 8:00 pm at Holy Family Church, 271 Fourth Street Way. Holy Family is now hiring a Funeral Coordinator. The person in this position will meet with bereaved families, work with funeral homes, and manage day-of coordination for funerals happening within the parish. The position is up to 15 hours per week, with the schedule dependent on the funerals taking place. Registration is now open for Holy Family’s 2024-2025 Sacramental Preparation programs. Students who are entering grades 11-12 who will be 16 at the time of Confirmation can participate in this year’s Confirmation Preparation Program. Students entering grades 2-4 are invited to register for Holy Family’s First Reconciliation and First Communion Preparation for Catholic school students entering grades 2-4. Join Holy Family for an amazing evening celebrating the priesthood at St. Francis de Sales 22nd Annual Seminary Dinner at The Baird Center in Milwaukee on Friday, October 4. Under the theme of “Zeal for the Lord’s House,” the dinner will celebrate the growing seminary as it welcomes more than 90 seminarians this fall. Tickets are $200 per person. Holy Family’s Oktoberfest will return on Saturday, September 28, and the parish is looking for your help to make it a success! Holy Family invites businesses, organizations, and families to donate baskets to its Basket Raffle. The parish asks that baskets are worth at least $50 and are brought to the Parish Office by September 18. If you would like to further support the event and the parish’s ministries, there are multiple sponsorship opportunities available. CMFDL is always interested in hearing from students who would like to volunteer at the museum. The week of Sept. 3-10 we have availability for many volunteers during our Maintenance & More shutdown week. Juniors and Seniors if you have late start or early release, there is availability during those hours, or after school there is availability! Great way to full-fill the J-Term Requirement!
