Explore the power of the Eucharist at Holy Family Lenten Priest Talk Series

 

Join Holy Family Priest and SMSA Chaplain, Fr. Michael Malucha, on Tuesday, March 5 from 6:30 to 7:30 pm at Sacred Heart Church, 200 S. Peters Ave., as he continues the parish’s Lenten Priest Talk series centered on the book “This is My Body: A Call to Eucharistic Revival.” While he will discuss the second chapter of the book, you do not need to read the book to enjoy the series. Fr. Kevin will close out the series on March 12 and discuss Chapter 3.

 

 


 

Follow in Jesus’ footsteps every Friday at Way of the Cross

Pray on Jesus’ sacrifice on the cross as we retrace His journey to Calvary at the Way of the Cross, taking place every Friday through March 22 at Holy Family Catholic Community. The parish’s priests will lead the Way of the Cross at 6:00 pm at Holy Family Church, 7:00 pm at Our Risen Savior Church, and in Spanish at 7:00 pm at St. Mary Church.

 


 

More than 20 restaurants to donate soup to Soup du Jour this Saturday, menu now available

 

More than 20 restaurants and businesses will donate delicious soups to benefit the Holy Family Warming Shelter and Holyland Food Pantry at Soup du Jour this Saturday, March 2, at Holy Family Church, 271 Fourth Street Way. Soups will go on sale at 1:00 pm on the south side of Holy Family Church via the drive-thru line beginning under the canopy entrance. Soups will be available on a first come, first served basis for $6 a cup or three cups for $15 – no credit/debit cards will be accepted.

 

Holy Family is excited to announce the list of participating businesses, as of February 27, is: A&W Restaurant, Annie’s Catering, Avenue 795, Bob’s on the Avenue, Boda’s Restaurant & Catering, Brick House, Downtown Deli, Market, Café, Faros Restaurant & Cocktails, Fat Joe’s Burgers and Brew, Friar Tuck’s, Gilles Frozen Custard, Hotel Retlaw | Table One Restaurant, Oasis Family Restaurant, Red Cabin at Green Acres, Rolling Meadows Restaurant, Salty’s Seafood & Spirits, The Stretch Restaurant, The Diner, The Hive, Theo’s 24, The Sweet & Salty Pig, Top Shelf Sports Bar & Grille, and Tucker’s Hamburgers. Elaine Graf and Associates of First Weber Realtors will also donate soup from Downtown Deli, Market, Cafe.

 

The fundraiser will also feature soups made by the parish’s Pastoral Council & Human Concerns Commission, Hispanic Ministry, and Staff.

Carhop volunteers needed for Soup du Jour March 2

Holy Family needs your help make its fundraiser, Soup du Jour, a success!

 

The parish is seeking volunteers to act as carhops at 1:00 pm on Saturday, March 2 at Holy Family Church, 271 Fourth Street Way. This volunteer opportunity is a great way for middle and high school students to get service hours!

Join Holy Family for a beautiful night of prayer and Mass at Cor Jesu

 

Enter into the Heart of Jesus on Thursday, March 7 at Presentation of the Blessed Virgin Mary Church, 705 Michigan Ave., North Fond du Lac. The night begins at 6:30 pm with Adoration and Confession, followed by Mass with music at 7:30 pm.

 


 

Men of Christ conference comes to Holy Family March 9

 

All men are invited to join the 2024 Men of Christ conference “Mastering What Matters,” at Holy Family Church, Saturday March 9. The morning will include well-known speakers, like Kevin O’Brien and Fr. John LoCoco, and opportunities for fellowship. Sign-in will begin at 6:30 am, with the Rosary, Mass, and Adoration to follow beginning at 7:00 am.

 

The conference will run from 8:45 am to 1:00 pm. To register, please visit menofchrist.net. The suggested donation to attend is $25 per person to cover the cost of food/materials, but those who cannot pay will not be turned away.

Faith Builders Club for Kids to talk St. Patrick

Kids and their families can learn about St. Patrick while making a cute craft at Holy Family’s Faith Builders Club for Kids. The club will meet for 15 minutes after the 10:00 am Mass at Holy Family Church, 271 Fourth Street Way, on Sunday, March 10, and for a special Lenten session following the 9:00 am Mass at Sacred Heart Church, 200 S. Peters Ave., on Sunday, March 17. All children are welcome!

 


 

Building Your Domestic Church Sessions for Parents to discuss “Devoting your Family to the Trinity”

On Wednesday, March 13, Holy Family’s Building Your Domestic Church Session for Parents will return to Sacred Heart Church, 200 S. Peters Ave., from 6:20 to 7:20 pm. Fr. Ryan Pruess will lead this session, which will discuss how you and your family can develop a relationship with each distinct person of the Holy Trinity — Father, Son, and Holy Spirit! A couple from the parish will also speak. Childcare will be available for children ages 3 and up in the Sacred Heart School Gym for those who need it.

 


 

Save the Date for Altar Server Training

New or refresher Altar Server Training for Holy Family Altar Servers will be held on Saturday, March 23 from 8:00-10:00 am in Holy Family Church, 271 Fourth Street Way. Altar servers must be parishioners in 3rd grade or higher. This training for any children who would like to serve or already do serve at any of the Holy Family parish churches.

 


 

Adult Confirmation classes to begin March 20

 

Are you already Baptized, and have received Reconciliation and First Communion in the Catholic Church? Are you wanting to be confirmed in the Catholic faith?

 

Join Holy Family for an eight-week session to learn more about the faith and become Confirmed from 6:30 to 8:30 pm in Holy Family Church’s Fireside Room, 271 Fourth Street Way, Wednesdays running March 20-May 8 (except April 3 & 17). *After completion of the program a date for Confirmation will be scheduled (*while this program is eight weeks, you may not be Confirmed in eight weeks, depending on each individual’s extenuating circumstances).

Children invited to sing in Holy Family Children’s Choir

 

Children can sing their hearts out and show their love for the Lord when they lead the music at Mass with the Holy Family Children’s Choir!

 

Children in grades 2-8 are invited to join the choir, which rehearses at Holy Family Church, 271 Fourth Street Way, on Thursdays from 4:00 to 4:45 pm through May, and leads the music at Mass once a month. You do not need to register your child for them to participate. Come to rehearsal to receive a schedule. Bowl for Kids' Sake - On the BIG Screen | Big Brothers Big Sisters of Fond du Lac County

 

Lights! Camera! Action! We’re excited to roll out the red carpet for Big Brothers Big Sisters of Fond du Lac County’s BIGGEST event of the year. Pay homage to your favorite movies and characters as you have fun and bowl in support of local youth at Bowl for Kids’ Sake – On the BIG Screen at Parkway Lanes on March 1st & 2nd. Don’t miss out on the costume contests, prizes, and friendly competition—it’s sure to be a box office hit!

Breakfast with Women Explores Spiritual Journeys

 

What is the central question of your life right now?

Join us in an exploration of your own spirituality and discussion of spiritual resources and journeys that are respectful of all belief systems. Five spiritual directors from the Congregation of Sisters of St. Agnes will guide us in exploring the landscape of spirituality.

 

Breakfast with Women: Energizing Spirits will be held on March 7, 2024, in downtown’s historic Hotel Retlaw. Check-in and breakfast will be available at 7:30 a.m. The event will start promptly at 8:15 a.m. with presentation, discussion, and panel questions until 9:30, after which, attendees are welcome to stay for continued reflecting and connecting with others in the room until 10:00 a.m.
